Frequently Asked Questions

Adult Clients

For an initial Osteopathy consultation I will ask you to undress down to your underwear, so if you want to bring anything like shorts or leggings with you then please do.

If you wish, you are welcome to bring a friend or relative as a chaperone.

Please bring a note of any medications you are currently taking, we will go through a full health history.

For Deep Relaxation Sessions, please wear light loose/stretchy clothing, for example a t-shirt and leggings.

Babies & Children

Whatever age your baby or child is, please have a chat with them about coming to see me so that they know what to expect.

They may be required to undress down to their nappy or underwear, I will take them through or ask them to do some movements and I will gently place my hands on various areas of their body and head.

Babies can be more comfortable if you have one of their own blankets that we can use on the treatment couch as they are more settled by their familiar smells.

If you have any favourite toys or books that you can bring then please do as it can help to keep a wriggler more still for treatment.

All under 16s require a chaperone to attend, this must be a parent or legal guardian.

Address: Highfields, Grubwood Lane, Cookham Dean, Berks SL6 9UD

The clinic is attached to the right-hand side of the house.

Please come in and take a seat in the waiting room.

Highfields is the second house up a rough gravel drive off Grubwood Lane, opposite the large field of Copas’ Kings Coppice Farm.

The houses either side of the bottom of the gravel drive are “Woodpeckers” from the Maidenhead direction and “Imbers” on the Marlow side.

If you have any problems finding the house, please call me on 07710 995 507.

Sat Nav Warning

Coming via Pinkneys Green from Maidenhead or the A4 junction of the A404, some sat navs will mislead you up Choke Lane towards the main area of Cookham Dean and then bring you back along very narrow lanes.

Instead you need to fork left on Winter Hill Road which will then bring you on to Hockett Lane then Grubwood Lane.

We have plenty of free parking space on site.  Please park on the top part of the driveway, in front of the main house.
